Poetry Bibliography of Maria AlexanderMy poetry collection, Biting Midnight: A Feast of Darksome Verse, from Medium Rare Books is SOLD OUT. This poetry collection is a double book with dark poet Christina Kiplinger-Johns . You can still find copies on ABE Books or Barnes & Noble, or even at Dark Delicacies in Burbank, California. Since 1999, my poetry has appeared in publications such as: The Swamp Feral Fiction Pegasus Dreaming Dreams & Nightmares The HWA Newsletter "Pain is God's Love" was recently reprinted in In the Arms of Words: Poems for the Tsunami Relief, a charity collection edited by Amy Ouzoonian for Foothills Publishing. AwardsBiting Midnight: A Feast of Darksome Verse made the Preliminary Ballot for the 2002 Bram Stoker Award in Poetry. In June 2004, I was one of five winners of the AOL Time-Warner poetry writing contest called "Time to Rhyme" with the poem "The Rage of Her Return." "Sighs from the Edda Over Iceland," which appeared in Dreams & Nightmares #67, received an Honorable Mention in the Year's Best Fantasy & Horror #18. Poems Currently Available OnlinePetite: This poem was published in La Gazette No. 5, Summer 2006 at Middlebury College. It's the first poem I've written in French. |
